Lifestyle Photography Competition Winners {Melanie and Ben}

Their Facebook entry was so compelling that I had to choose them. Melanie wrote: “As part of our jobs we have lots of pictures in costume but it has been almost three years since we have had any pictures of the two of us together as a couple.” They together run the region’s premier Princess party company Simply Perfect Princess Parties, so you’re more likely to find them dressed as mermaids and pirates. One of my main photographic missions is to capture the real you, relaxed and having fun. I really liked the idea of unmasking Melanie and Ben, allowing the real them to come forward.

They love the pretty rhododendrons of Sheringham Park, so I suggested How Hill as a possible location (many thanks Simon). The secret water garden was at its best, with secluded reflecting pools and abundant flowers in every colour. After a quick outfit change we headed down to the river towards Boardman’s Mill. To be honest, the star of the show was their Maltese terrier Mickey who was absolutely adorable. Congrats again to Melanie & Ben and I hope you treasure these for many years to come.
